Parts & Accessories — Frequently Asked Questions
- Can I order spare spools and handles separately from complete reels?
- Yes. Spare spools, handles, knobs, bail arms, drag washer sets and gear sets are all available as standalone line items for any Black Shark model. Distributors typically order spares at 3-5% of their reel volume to cover warranty claims and after-sales demand, which is usually enough for a full sales season.
- What is the MOQ for parts and accessories?
- Parts MOQ is 200 pcs per SKU when ordered on their own, or with no separate minimum when added to a reel order — the simplest route is to attach the spares to your container so they ship together. Small quantities for warranty support can be sent by air courier against an existing order.
- Do you supply parts for reels made by other factories?
- Only where the part is dimensionally compatible with one of our platforms. Send photos, the model name and, ideally, the original part or a caliper measurement of the fitting dimensions; our engineers will confirm within 2-3 working days whether an existing part fits or whether it needs a new mold. Custom tooling for a single small part such as a handle knob runs $800-2,000 with a 2-3 week lead time.
- How do I identify which replacement part fits a given reel model?
- Every reel we ship carries a model code and size stamped on the rotor or foot, and we supply an exploded parts diagram with numbered part references for each series. Quote the model code plus the diagram part number and we can match the spare exactly. If the reel was private-labelled under your brand, we keep your model-to-part mapping on file for the life of the program.
- Can accessories be branded and packaged for retail sale?
- Yes. Spools, handles and accessory kits can carry your logo by laser engraving or pad printing, and be supplied in retail-ready blister or box packaging with your artwork and UPC barcode. Packaging die-cutting tooling costs $500-1,500 with a 2-week lead time. Branded spare spools sold as an accessory line are one of the highest-margin items in a fishing tackle range.
